The collaborators of the Laboratory do research concerning Armenia and the Armenians from the point of Russian source study and historiographical heritage. One of the spheres of the research works is the collection of source study testimonies concerning the Armenian Genocide.
In 2009 "Armenian Question, Armenian Genocide" (Армянский Вопрос, Геноцид Армян, Ереван 2009, Издательство ЕГУ) bibliographical collection was published. Now various materials are collected about the history of Nagorno-Karabakh and Zangezur.
The head of the Laboratory is Doctor of History, Professor, NAS RA Associate member Aram Simonyan .
