 Henri Verneuil (Ashot Malakyan) (15.10.1920, Rodosto-11.1.2002, Paris) French-Armenian film director, writer. Member of Academy of Fine Arts (2000). He began to live in France from 1930. He studied at the lycée in Aix-en-Provence, later he worked as a journalist. Series of articles on Armenian Genocide by Henri Verneuil were published in French press. From 1948 he began to work in film industry.  European film actor Fernandel appeared in his short films. His “Village Feud” (“La Table-aux-Crevés”, 1951) made him one of the best film directors in France. See more.
