 BAKUNTS Aksel (Armenian: Ակսել Բակունց, Alexander Tevosyan) was born on June 13, 1899 in Goris. He was an Armenian writer, philologist, translator and screenwriter. He finished parochial school of Goris (1910), Gevorgyan Seminary of Echmiadzin (1917), Agricultural Institute of Kharkov (1923). Bakunts participated in the liberation struggle of the Armenian people with the volunteer groups in Erzrum, Kars, and Sardarapat. 1924-26 Bakunts was the head of the department of agriculture of Zangezur province. See more...
