 GASPARYAN (Khachatryan) Gohar (14.12.1924, Cairo – 16.05.2007, Yerevan) opera singer. People’s artist of RA (1953), USSR (1956). Socialist Work hero  (1984).

In her native country she took lessons from E. Feldman and V. Carro. From 1940 she performed in Cairo. In 1948 she returned to Armenia. From 1949 she performed at Opera and Ballet Theater. From 1964 she delivered   at Yerevan State Musical Conservatory (from 1973 professor). Gohar Gasparyan had a large voice register, perfect techniques; her voice was distinguished by flexibility, richness of tones, etc. Deep expression of artistic and ideological essence of the composition and the convincing sense were typical to her.
