The Institute for Armenian Studies of YSU continues its educational programs aimed at preservation of the Armenian identity in the Diaspora. One of the most important programs, the distance learning program crosses new borders apart from Lebanon, Canada, Russia. From January 2017 the distance program, “The Issues of the Armenian History was launched in cooperation with Regional Committee of Hamazkayin of Syria for the Armenian teachers, journalists, and 15 interested people from Aleppo. “This phase of the program is very exciting for us and at the same time very binding”, - said the deputy director of IAS and the head of the program, Mher Hovhannisyan. It’s also important to note that by the order of YSU Rector Aram Simonyan program is absolutely free for our compatriots living in the war conditions. “In case of necessity the program will be continuous preserving all the principles”, -said Aram Simonyan. 

On February 17 the first online examination took place during which the participants gained high credits.
